Perhaps you've seen our print advertisement in the Baton Rouge Advocate for www.YourLouisianaWill.com. Big discounts apply prior to 12/31. The site has been getting lots of attention and it's been fun calling and talking to the folks who have been submitting their information online.
Everyone's telling me that this is the wave of the future. Ordinary consumers like you and me don't want to spend big money to name guardians for their minor children - or even set up testamentary trusts for their family. And consumers don't want to spend hours in a law office getting all this straight if they don't have to. Given the direction that e-commerce is going, and given the fact that many major financial institutions permit you to change beneficiaries to your 401(k) and IRA online - I have to think we've only scratched the surface.
Even my wife, Amy, thinks our online estate planning site is a great idea. She's getting used to doing business online after spending almost all of "Cyber-Monday" Christmas shopping online for our five children.
